On pday last week we found a football next to the pickleball courts (some old guys came and kicked us off) so we were throwing it around, and then I told my ZL Elder Bennee I wanted him to try and cover me as a joke, hes going to play corner at U of U when he gets off the mish. Let's just say I mossed a future D1 athlete 🤧
.This week I also upped my exercise game- for all of those who have heard of 6 months to sexy (it's a common missionary saying that in your last 6 months you go extra hard during exercise time so you can come home looking fresh) but I'm starting 8 weeks to dunking. All I can say is I can touch the rim right now, but give me a couple weeks and I'll be throwing down. Guaranteed 9 to 15 inches of extra vertical- stay tuned for dunking videos.
In terms of the work, it's been kicking back up after some slow starts. We found another Chinese person, honestly blessing after blessing has happened for the past month or so- we had only taught 1 chinese person since May, now we have 4 more in just one month. It's been cool to see God use my talents to share the gospel and soften peoples hearts- for example I am teaching 3 chinese people tennis now, and finding through PICKLEBALL has actually worked. God is highkey blessing me in this area, and I'm loving the work here.
I also gave a talk in church on Sunday, they only wanted it to be 5 minutes but I ended up talking for around 10-15
minutes (kinda funny cuz that was hard for me to do before I left on the mission, even with all of the talk written out
). It was only my 2nd in the whole time being on a mission haha. It was focused on the message that President Nelson put out on Friday, which if you didnt get a chance to see go watch! It's only like 10 minutes long and is
.
I would invite you all to follow up on President Nelson's invitation to flood social media with gratitude posts- literally so easy!
