Week 85: Iron Triangle: February 22, 2021

This transfer has absolutely blown by, the fastest of my mission. It is absolutely wild to me how fast the mission goes by in the last 6 months. I am just trying to make the best of times! Transfers are tomorrow, and.... Elder Bennion is leaving and i will be staying with elder Gollaher! By the end of this next transfer, I will have been in this ward for 9 months. I have loved every minute of it and the work is really special in the green level ward. This week we taught some more tennis as usual, found a new guy named Yusen who is the man, a guy at NC state who has literally no idea who God is. Hes a humble young bloke and is really curious about who God is and what benefits come from him!

We were also able to attend the baptism of a guy we have been working with for several months, who used to be a member and even served a mission but fell away. With the end in sight, I have been pondering a lot on how I can keep myself strong in the church when I return home from my mission. Frankly speaking there are too many missionaries that go out and serve missions, experience incredible events, then go home and are exactly as they were before they left.  I recently read 2 Nephi 32 and 33 which talks so much about the blessings that come from continually feasting upon the words of christ and praying continually. It all comes down to consistency. My former mission president who is now Elder Matthew S. Holland gave all of us missionaries a promise before he left; that if we read the Book of Mormon daily, pray out loud daily, and wear and respect our temple garments, that we would never fall away. So I'd invite you all, especially return missionaries, to follow this pattern and you will recieve blessings. If you have some needed improvements, then repent and fix it. And especially if you are 18 and haven't gone through the temple yet, start preparing yourself! I know everyone on this email list is a member, and especially a lot of you are old enough to participate in these saving ordinances. There is no point in waiting to receive these blessings. Don't procrastinate the day of your repentance!
