The time really has been flying the past couple of weeks. The work here is going well though! This last week we had several opportunities to teach and play some tennis. Funny thing is there is a large group of Chinese people here that LOVE to play tennis everyday, and they all know me as the kid that hits a huge serve. I think as of right now I'm at an all time high in terms of how good my tennis game is, and this week my goal was to invite every single person I played tennis with to come to sacrament so that was a fun and challenging goal.
We had a lesson with a guy named Daniel who is studying at Duke, and it was actually the first lesson I've had through facebook finding. He's pretty prepared already because he was inactive in his baptist church, and was wanting to start going back right when we messaged him on Facebook, and he took that as a sign that God wanted him to renew his relationship with God.
The Spiritual thought this week comes from my Book of Mormon study. 2 Nephi 3:20-21 reads "And it shall come to pass that their cry shall go, even according to the simpleness of their words. Because of their faith their words shall proceed forth... and the weakness of their words will I make strong in their faith". For all who knew me before the mission, you probably know I was a pretty closed in person, very shy and outspoken until I got to know you better. A lot has changed through God and him allowing me to grow as a missionary, but this scripture always hits a different way when I read it. It shows to me that God is willing to help those who turn to him in faith, but not only just having faith, but in putting forth the effort to open your mouth and speak. On occasion I will feel, similar to this situation of being an introvert, low in many other aspects of life. The best way to overcome these is always to have faith and put forth some effort. It wont always be comfortable but you will be magnified in your efforts.
Also rip the Packers... it's ok though because in 3 years when arod is on the down climb jlove is gonna pop off mark my words
