Since I emailed y'all 3 days ago theres not much to talk about... except Christmas was so sick. We watched the members go water-skiing in frigid temperatures from the dock and then had a huge fire. Good stuff.
Since the end of the year is coming to a close, it's fun to reflect back and see what has happened significantly in the past year of my life. There are lots of crazy things including the out of control Aussie bushfires, civil unrest, and the covid 19 pandemic which led to me getting sent home, then eventually getting sent to do work in full quarantine. These can be seen as punishments, but for me are easily seen as blessings because it changed my perspective. When I got sent home the first time, honestly I lost all my missionary habits within a couple weeks which was really hard, and I was quite prideful and simply put just a jerk. I'm grateful that I was able to learn from this, that when I come home the right way the 2nd time, that I will come home and know what to improve on. I'm grateful for the pandemic which has caused me to be more patient, to think out of the box, and really utilize my talents to do missionary work. I'm grateful for the bushfires, which united the world in fasting and prayer, and taught us all to be more environmentally cautious. I'm grateful for the civil unrest, which taught us that we need to be more fair in our treatment of the diverse cultures and people of the world. There are many other things that happened in 2020, and many other things I'm grateful for. I'd love to hear in what ways you all have been growing this past year of your lives, and especially for what you are grateful for. Shoot me an email anytime!
